Workers performing a wide range of tasks involving the handling, storage and use of propane cylinders and equipment powered by propane risk serious injury as a result of fire and explosion and other hazards. This program looks at specific tasks and circumstances where workers may be at risk. Relevant legislation is outlined, including the Ontario Propane Code. Participants explore practical strategies for recognizing and assessing hazards associated with the handling, storage or use of propane. They also discuss measures for eliminating or controlling harmful exposures.
